Post War stations. The big push for community stations after the war was accomodated by equipment manufacturers, such as Gates, by offering complete studio/transmitters in a pre-built trailer. KVOC started with such an arrangement to get on-air quickly.
6. - 3/46 KWOR in Worland, the Tony Kehl family also operated KVOW in Riverton
7. - 10/46 KVOC became the second radio station in Casper. Fred Hildebrand GM was also an engineer and went to KTWO TV when the station was sold by Alice and Harry Bubeck. Dave Walsh was sports news director, and also annouced occassional special live sports coverage on KTWO TV. In 1984 began announcing University of Wyoming sports events which he still does.

11 - 2/48 KOWB in Laramie. The Curt Gowdy station, he was renown for announcing Yankee and Red Sox baseball games.

13 - 1950 KGOS in Torrington. Kerm Kath first broadcasting license at age 21, died 1982, purchased this station in 1956.
14 - 1952 KSHY in Cheyenne
15 - 1952 KUUY in Cheyenne. Chief engineer Wally Boller.
16 - 6/53 KEVA in Evanston
17 - 7/53 KASL in Newcastle
18 - 1955 KRTR in Thermopolis. Mildred and Joe Ernst created broadcasting for the Wyoming basin land.
19 - 4/56 KBBS in Buffalo. Jeanette Maxwell owned the daytime only station. She personally did the afternoon program which ran until sunset or no longer sober. Morning news was by Steve Lawrence who was chosen because he delivered the Casper Star Tribune newspaper in town. On Sundays ran the Basque program Euskaldunak.
20 - 5/56 KATI in Casper. A crucible for young engineer and air talent. Famous alumni include Steve Broomell, Alan Bowker and myself.
21 - 4/57 KTHE in Thermopolis
22 - 6/57 KWIV in Douglas
23 - 9/57 KIML in Gillette. GM Roy Mapel received a distinguished service award from the Wyoming Association of Broadcasters.
24 - 1960 KYCN in Wheatland. Small town station run by Grover D. Allen and family.
25 - 3/61 KROE in Sheridan
26 - 4/61 KRAE in Cheyenne
27 - 2/62 KOJO in Laramie engineer Chris Hecht went on to UW KUWR-FM and now public radio KLCC in Eugene Oregon.
28 - 7/62 KSGT in Jackson
29 - 12/62 KMER in Kemmerer
