Bob Rule has capped a long career in communications as owner of KPIN FM in Pinedale Wyoming.  He started in Laramie by starting a telephone answering service in 1967. To that he added pagers.  He created and sold several FM and Television properties in Laramie and Cheyenne. Currently he has construction permits for FM stations in Casper and Gillette Wyoming.  Bob has found Pinedale to be an excellent place for a home town radio station, something that has become exceptionally rare in this day of national radio programming by satellite.

I remember one time Bob offered to take me up to the KUWX transmitter on Mt Airy. It is located at the same site as his KPIN. It took about a half hour to unload the passenger seat in his truck as that was filled to the windows with several years worth of papers and CDs. He travelled constantly around the state to his various properties, this was his filing system.
